Once You “Just “Pay” a Georgia Traffic Ticket, It is On Your Driving History Forever
A lot of people call and tell me they just paid a recent traffic ticket and now they need help with getting a new traffic citation kept off their record. I tell them I will do everything I can to help, and depending on where the citation occurred that might actually be possible.
But the truth is that once a Georgia traffic citation is reported on your driving history it is there forever. Law enforcement officials and traffic court prosecutors will always see that citation and it may impact your ability to get future tickets resolved favorably.
The potential client will tell me they didn’t think one traffic ticket was such a big deal, and one ticket may not be. But that second citation is going to prove much more difficult to resolve favorably. It is much more important to try and keep every citation off your Georgia driving history.
This is even more important for drivers under 21 and drivers under 18 where insurance rates can increase drastically baseD on one citation and you may be facing license suspensions due to points on your license.
